Although this stator is correct for Triumph 750 Twins from 1980 & on that featured the electric start, you can retro-fit this stator on earlier Triumph, BSA, and Norton motorcycles that require more power (amps). When retro-fitting, your motorcycle must accept a 3-stud stator and you must upgrade your regulator.
