Genuine Triumph Front Brake Master Cylinder Assembly
A complete front brake master cylinder assembly designed for 1973–1978 Triumph 750cc and 1500cc/Trident motorcycles, including the T140 Bonneville, TR7 Tiger, T150, and T160.
A stainless steel cylinder barrel body to permanently eliminate the internal rust and pitting issues that plagued original cast-iron Lockheed units.
Key Specifications & Variants:
- Compatibility: Fits standard 7/8-inch handlebars on 1973–1978 models. It is not compatible with 1979-later models utilizing Lucas 187SA switch gear.
- Standard Bore (5/8" / 15.8mm): The factory spec size. This original diameter provides the correct fluid volume required if your motorcycle is running a dual-disc front brake setup.
- Upgraded Bore (13mm / 1/2"): A popular modern performance variant (60-4102S/13mm). This smaller bore increases mechanical leverage against the caliper, providing up to 30% more stopping power and better lever feel for single-disc setups. Do not use the 13mm version for dual discs, as it cannot displace enough fluid.
- Fluid Requirements: Designed to be used exclusively with standard DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid
